Darkice 1.4 cannot connect to Shoutcast Server -- issues "buffer overflow" and locks up the socket

created darkice 1.4 with lame and alsa. Works with Icecast2 server (caster.fm) but won't connect to Shoutcast server (listen2myradio.com). Freezes with USB hardware input and issues alsa buffer overflow.
