1. Click "Drop Shadow" and change to "Glow" 2. Click (the now not grayed out anymore) "Glow" and change to your desired effect I hope it is crystal clear now....

Probably not possible. 😔 I think only system apps can do such tasks. Installing projectify as system app would be awesome. But google does not allow that.
However, you can long press ok an app icon in the launcher, select app settings and then close your app from there. Works fine for me on shield tv. Also...
