I've run into this same problem, however my chromebook has no such update available. Fortunately there is a copy of the extension at https://www.crx4chrome.com/crx/97386/ which can be installed manually.
There are no applicable changes that I saw. Is there anything in particular you're concerned about?
To expand on this, maybe make the NPC and Scrap search choices capable of multi-select? For example by ctrl-click to select them individually, shift-click to select a range.
