I'm having the same issue on Fedora KDE (Wayland). Everything was working fine until today.

The browser extension [Iridium](https://github.com/ParticleCore/Iridium) does that. It displays a pop-up player when you scroll down the page. Maybe this can help you.

I'm also having this issue on Fedora 35 with KDE 5.24.4.
