This is quite annoying. I think that a simple solution would be to make it like the "Show thread" button/line.
Any chance to see a Federated Timeline added?

On my MacBook Pro M1 under macOS 13.0.1 it works properly without any crashes.
I couldn't agree more. It would be better to have the various sections either in columns or selectable from a menu on the top.
