Manually editing `/Users//.atom/packages/remote-edit/lib/model/remote-edit-editor.coffee` as per `https://github.com/sveale/remote-edit/pull/187/files` seems to be working for me so far!

I do not know much about mtr or ipv6 specifically, but a tcpdump would probably be good to get some clues. I assume this behavior doesn't happen with ipv4? **Edit/answer...

I think it's possible your situation is specific to the behavior in your network right now. It seems like a good time to tcpdump and see if hop number two...
