difficulty clearing queue

Fresh install Debian 11.2, installed OSS 22.03.04.deb. Managed to get the system up and running and index a bunch of pdfs, and add some facets etc. All was working well, then a specific directory of old pdfs won't complete, and I am not sure how to clear the celery queue to get the system back to working again.

I have emptied the database to start fresh which has worked in the past to get back to the start, but this time that won't fix it.

In the flower interface if I click on worker name celery@search, I see 16 running tasks in the tasks queue. I think I just need to be able to remove these as they never complete and I can't seem to get rid of them. Sorry newbie here, but really like the stack when I can get it to work! Any advice appreciated.

Does that manifest as something like this:

Import status: Running file import

I've had that forever on the appliance version, there's nothing still running, but the message just hangs there.
