not sure if it is a feature or an issue. just want to discuss this. when selecting over a clustered symbol the underlying symbos are revealed.

In QGis, you can choose which layers you can identify or not. It can be useful for users to identify multiple layers by only one touch on the screen... but also irritating when you previously select only one layer in the layer menu ;)

@VxTedxV this is not the issue I'm referring to. the Apiary layer is identifiable and is correctly identified by QField. but it has a cluster renderer (the hexagon with the 2) and when I click there I see the 2 points that the cluster hexagon is hiding.

I'm wondering what users expect in this case

I think it's important to see the hidden points, my opinion. Sometimes not all points are selected. For example, I touched a hexagon that represents 9 points, but only 7 were selected. Just an observation. Screenshot_20191116-132152-512x288

@ElvisDahnert I agree this sounds important, but this is a bit complex since the snapping tolerance is not related to the clustering. This is a QGIS issue which I have followed: https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/issues/32918

Thanks for reporting this bug. Bugs are often fixed on a voluntary basis (see sustainability initiative). This still often takes time and we need to prioritize bugs, so some may slip through the cracks. If you need this bug to be fixed in a more timely manner, get in touch.

This bug is super stale. I'd suggest retesting with 2025 QField, or if not just close.
