What is the bug or the crash? What were your expectations and what actually happened?

User cannot login to QFieldCloud.

Steps to reproduce the issue

User cannot login to QFieldCloud with username and password, but email and password works.

After login the username is resolved from email address to username and login does not work again until changed back to email.

Same behavior on QField for Windows version as well as IOS for this user.

@amgiss , are you seeing this behavior when connecting to the official QFieldCloud server (i.e. https://app.qfield.cloud/) ? I can't repeat this behavior on my end, logging in with my username works.

It's a hosted server, but not the official https://app.qfield.cloud instance. I have not seen this behavior of the client resolving and changing the email to the username when attempting to login to the server before, so am unsure if this is a client or server issue.

I'd look into the hosted server first; you can test QField against app.qfield.cloud and see username log in is still working there.

These issues seem to have stopped. Possibly related to #6418 though as the problem was with iOS devices.
