Map panning broken on macOS after enabling certain plugins (e.g., Forecast plugin)
What is the bug or the crash? What were your expectations and what actually happened?
On the macOS version of QField, map panning stops working after enabling certain plugins.
Steps to reproduce the issue
- Open a QField project on macOS.
- Verify that map panning works as expected.
- Enable a plugin such as the Forecast plugin.
- Return to the map view.
Version
Operating system name
Android
Operating system version
macOS (15.2 (24C101))
Reinstall QField
- [x] I have a fresh install of the latest QField version, but the problem persists.
- [x] Problem can be reliably reproduced, doesn't happen randomly.
- [x] Problem happens with all files and projects, not only some files or projects.
Additional context
Panning is completely disabled: • You can still interact with the interface (e.g., menus, layer list). • Zooming may still work (to be confirmed). • But dragging the map to pan does not respond.
Notes • Restarting the app seems to restore panning, until the plugin is enabled again.
@MichalTorma , I can't confirm this behavior on Android and Linux using QField 3.6.3 (and 3.6.4). Are you running a plugin of your own that might interfere here?
