Feature request: Copy text even if edit mode is not activated

I would find it useful if you could copy attribute values without having to switch to edit mode first. Not only, but also because there is not yet a more sophisticated mechanism for copying attributes (#2089) and especially the handling of text fields in edit mode is still a bit fiddly (#2269).

So with text fields, this is currently relatively cumbersome and requires many clicks, since you first have to select all the text to be copied.
