i think greater than 8.0 placeholder is not showing. Tested in 9.0 placeholder text not working (means not showing placeholder text in real device and simulator) PS: demo version is...

closeHandler not run

I think you have to add .didCloseHandler and .dismissWhenTaps(true) in your ViewController. That worked for me

`env(safe-area-inset-*)` always 0px in webview 138 or higher

we're also having a same issue OS: Android OS: v15 react-native: v0.76.5 react-native-webview: v13.12.5
