You are right! It's not possible to select range with a keyboard shortcut. This is something i can add in the next release.
I tested it (within the same window) with Firefox Developer Edition v84, and it works. Maybe someone else could also test it.
I haven't thought about this feature. Sounds good! As soon as I get extra time from personal projects I am planning to look into it.
One way to do this is to save (Save to Sessions) Window 42 then reopen it from Saved Sessions. Although we don't have this functionally yet. Issue #53 addresses this.
