@keerzhang1 was looking at this code recently and brought up this same issue, so I'll take a look at this soon.
I've implemented changes to address these two issues (this one here and #17 ). aux_clm testing shows that these are bfb with the two problematic history fields active by default...
I can confirm this didn't work for me either with ctsm5.2.005. I got the same error. cd /glade/work/oleson/ctsm5.2.005 module load conda ./py_env_create
That change fixes the problem for me.
I don't object to just removing these fields, thanks.
A quick validation of results from LDF Table against standard diagnostics (SD) Table for coupled 143 (CASE) and 139 (BASELINE). Looks good.
