Can you maybe produce/provide a (minimal?) style which triggers a strong performance degradation? That could help narrow it down i also noticed the slowdown

works for me now with the new outerBoundsMode and outerBoundsContain: axisLabel (instead of old `containLabel` which didn't help)

the issue only exists for axis `type=time` and `inverse=true` so it's hard to find an example that is more minimal. all examples with `type=category` are fine if inverted.

this can also be observed with the shortbread versatiles style near athens, greece, at zoom=8 one tile only has partial ocean. the original shapefiles for the ocean are correct. https://shortbread-tiles.org/styles/#versatiles
