Verified - this is not an issue in 2.9.0. This is the custom cluster role I used: 
The code has changed a lot since 2.7.5 and now has guards, so being unable to retrieve the list of apps does not cause the problem reported in this issue
@gaktive I think we should move this to test, unless I am missing some context?
Note: We need to look at each in tern - not all can be done at this time.
@eva-vashkevich @gaktive Where is this one? This has milestone 2.9.next1 rather then 2.9.0 - is that correct?
@mantis-toboggan-md finally got this to pass gates - refactored as we discussed.
Going to close as stale - can you check on latest Rancher and re-open if you are still seeing this.
Bumping to 2.10.0, as not a regression. Should consider backport
