ps. I would suggest to offer other alternative map sources, where tiles are ok to be requested. See e.g. http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_in_MapKit (tile.openstreetmap.org or mapquest open tiles)

What is your device exactly?
Nexus 7 is with standard software? Can you post your code and data sample?
Can you confirm that this only comes with nutiteq-3dsdk-build341-232RC and not with earlier versions?
