Encountered this one as well. A merge would be nice.

Its been almost a year - any chance on getting this feature? Additionally visual-block mode would be awesome - either for the whole buffer or the current viewport.

Works quite nicely, there's a typo in the license though. It should be `GPL-2`, not `GPL2`.
