I had requested this feature in #3810 .
This is the Preferences in a software called Clip Studio Paint.
Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint... work in this way. This a feature mainly for keyboard&mouse, and it works for all tools instead of only zoom tool. 
Sometimes I use keyboard&mouse for efficiency.
How do you think?
