@m-kuhn , I suspect the hard work you've been putting in updating builds might have had a positive impact here.

@arkanoid87 , does this cause any data loss/corruption or it is merely inconvenient to have these sidecar files in your folder?

QField 2.1 has improved things on that front by upgrading gdal to 3.4.2, which only triggers the WAL mode when _editing_ a geopackage. That should help a lot.

@maciejsznajder , could you attach a simple project with which you can replicate the crash?

@maciejsznajder , are you saying that the first project that is as you described "pure QGIS" doesn't crash neither for you and your friend whereas the QSYNC packed one does?

This PR (https://github.com/opengisch/QField/pull/3142) implements a work around Qt limitations.

@danesadog , without a sample project and dataset, it's unlikely this will be looked at.
