I've taken a look and I think it's possible, we would need to expose https://github.com/libarchive/libarchive/wiki/FormatRaw functionality, I'll do some experimentation in near future I think this will also help with...

Libarchive.js is using libarchive 4, so issue is probably on libarchive.js side, I'll look into it
