Documentation Tasks for Devcontainer

Prior to releasing the devcontainer changes in tools 3.4, the following documentation tasks are needed:

  • [x] Update docs -> remove all references of gitpods. Explain usage of and motivation for devcontainers
  • [ ] Write blogpost -> showcase the devcontainer changes
