It sounds like DRAGONS' use of gwcs is similar to STScI pipelines. There's an incomplete PR implementing a discrete coordinate frame. We should make sure it covers all known cases....
I see. Thanks for the explanation. Indeed, in what I had in mind these transforms follow astropy.modeling rules. It makes sense to have them behave like the other two methods.
@mcara I may be confused about what this PR is meant to accomplish. - How is it using the new API in drizzle? The only change here is calling `calc_pixmap`...
@mcara Please resolve the conflicts in resample.
In the future, can `GWCSDrizzle` be removed and `ResampleData` use directly `drizzle.Drizzle`? The only additional info in `GWCSDrizzle` is the output wcs.
It looks like the blocks have been resolved. Can you remove support for Python 3.10 and open this for review?
