Ok, for a fresh Ubuntu 20.04.5 VM pixlet needs libwebp-dev installed to function, but with the current binary you can just install it via apt and everything appears to function...

Chiming in to say I've seen and reproduced this on my machine as well.

@theaswanson See if the issue is persisting with the binary/code that was released today. I'm able to serve up content as expected with the latest version of the app.

I don't see why not. Point me in the direction of how to wrangle getting that set up and I can poke at it.
