Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. When medaka cannot locate a GPU it will keep running on CPUs.

Describe the solution you'd like It would be great to have a "--GPU option" and have medaka fail to run rather than go on using CPUs if it cannot detect the GPU(s) as in #232 .

Hi @Kirk3gaard,

This is something that's been on the to do list for a long time but gets pushed down the priorities with medaka being focussed on research. We'd implement it as an option to use an explicit device (or automatically choose one).
