Is this targeting 3.4.0 or 4.0.0? Also, if there were a separate PR that removed scala 2.12 and fixed deprecations, would it be a lot of work to rebase this...
Dropping 2.12 actually has major ramifications. It means it can't be used within SBT, including slick-codegen.
