Could you please create an official patch to get this in the Emacs distribution?

Thanks for the patch, it works wonderfully, I'd love to see this get rolled into the official distribution!

Conflicts with Yasnippet tab functionality (I think)

I heavily rely on [Yasnippet](http://code.google.com/p/yasnippet/) for working with snippet completion and smart-tab conflicts and removed the Yasnippet tab functionality. Still very much a novice when it comes to hacking elisp...
