This is fixed by #461 , set the light-intensity in your config files @rafcon-dev
This will be further improved with #944, where a default HDRI will be provided
to put in context of #597

Closing as duplicate then. @GitCodeBoy you can work around it by positioning the camera in the right location.
Keeping it open for the Assimp bug though.
