Another option could be to log metrics in some structured format like EMF: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudWatch/latest/monitoring/CloudWatch_Embedded_Metric_Format_Specification.html At least in AWS this would be easy to parse out into Cloudwatch metrics. Not sure...
