Yes, I think using the LibreNMS enterprise id is a requirement.

It can still allow custom MIBs. Just the default would be one owned by LibreNMS. One that outside systems can expect and implement support for. I am not very knowledgeable...

Looks more reasonable. Could use a refinement pass. The main thing missing is documentation :)

If you look at the flasher.php config file in that PR, I have default set to template.librenms. I need to update that :)
