i don't think so because the dns resolution depends on the chromecast not on the app which this app is running. Use the ip adress of the chrome cast instead...

normally the chrome cast decides which resolution it will use based on the monitor it is plugged in. 720p / 1080p

Sometimes you need to tell the tv which kind of device is pluged into the hdmi port. (for instance samsung tv's, if you change the source typ to pc it...
