While not supported as a public method, you could try the private `geocoder._setInputValue('foo')` or even `geocoder._inputEl.value = 'foo'` ref: https://github.com/mapbox/mapbox-gl-geocoder/blob/main/lib/index.js#L408-L416
@BohdanYavorskyi we are not actively developing new features on this package. I will keep this issue open for future consideration.
