Error "Failed to connect to Mir" on first run

Open yselivonchyk opened this issue 6 years ago • 3 comments

This is what I got after running the gmonitor the first time:

gmonitor -s
Failed to connect to Mir: Failed to connect to server socket: No such file or directory
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused

ERROR: The control display is undefined; please run `nvidia-settings --help` for usage information.

No gpus to monitor, terminating.

Any idea why this can be happening? What is "Mir"?

It is related to the x11 server.

Can you please let me know your setup? What OS is installed on your local and server machines? I am assuming your running gmonitor through SSH correct?
