Extension or Replacement?

Hiya, I was just wondering, does Shell extend the functionality of the native Win11 menu, or does it replace it entirely with a custom menu?

Currently the regular context menu is modified and customized. However, work is being done to create a special, more flexible context menu instead of the regular Windows context menu.

Oh sweet thanks for the answer! I think it's actually probably a better thing it's an extension of native function, I find other apps that replace native Windows functions inevitably end up having gaps in their support for random niche old software. At least extending native function means if it works with native it works with the app.
