It's been over three weeks since the bug was made public. Requiring downstream vendors to manually patch instead of releasing a new version is not very desirable...

Could we have the new release please?

Any update on this? Seems to be blocking an update to the latest version on OpenBSD.

Unfortunate that such workarounds are needed for so basic a feature after two years.

Still need this badly.
