Not sure if this has anything to do with WSL 2.0 but I am using Windows 11.
I have closing this issue because the problem seems to be with hadolint itself and not the fault of the plugin. You can find this issue reported here https://github.com/hadolint/hadolint/issues/1043
There is also a duplicate issue here 'https://github.com/michaellzc/vscode-hadolint/issues/87' because I initially thought it was a problem with the VSC plugin. But that turns out not to be the case.
I'm having issues too. Looking through all the current issues they don't seem to be getting replied to. This is unfortunate.
