From what I've noticed, Windows will more aggresively suspend devices and go into deeper sleep when on battery power, but on AC power it'll stay on and connected much longer....

I encountered a similar issue on a SKL device (Thinkcentre M900 Tiny), `rmmod snd_hda_intel` and `modprobe snd_hda_intel` was needed for the necessary sysfs attributes to appear.
Also affects MTL platforms
I have 100% reproduction with Sandisk Ultra Flair but not with Kingston DT 100. Buggy flash drive doesn't handle the reset correctly, perhaps?
