@blackrim I tried it on different machines (all linux) and with different internet connections, as I thought it might be a problem on my site. It crashes approximately every 15sec....

Yes, I was able to construct one using phlawd_db_maker.

Ah, it was more a general question, if gene trees need to be rooted or not. Personally, I am interested in the results of the -m 1 method.
