Probably want the flag IO to be one of the "interrupt" pins.
The xc3progs supports "ftdi cables" which is what the USBBlaster emulation used for urjtag at https://github.com/timvideos/HDMI2USB-numato-opsis-sample-code/issues/7 emulates. Need to figure out if xc3progs works with that.
