I am getting the same issue It has been already two months since the first time it gets reported. Has anyone solved it? Thanks

The problem seems to happened again with the error message: `mkdir': File exists @ dir_s_mkdir` jekyll-3.9.2 and ruby 2.6.3p62 (2019-04-16 revision 67580) [x86_64-linux-musl]

> Above way solved the directory issue, but 'Fetching sprite image...' is running forever without going further. Try this line it did solve my problem with Fetching `image_path: "../../mnist_data/mnist_10k_sprite.png"`
