Well obviously there's [youtube-dl](https://rg3.github.io/youtube-dl/), which this utility supposedly uses, and which works for a majority of sites (except for Spotify, which is why I'm not using it instead)

not sure how much more clear I can be. I want to be able to dictate a gradient that the colors move along as opposed to setting 100 different colors...

sorry, don't want to be unhelpful, what exactly are you confused about?

no, ideally I'd like the volume points to be interpolated along a smooth gradient defined by 2 or more colors I do set.
