This seems related to #34, and more precisely to [this comment](https://github.com/FEniCS/ufl/pull/34#discussion_r457985224), although thus far not linked.

Probably the reason that `VectorElement` and `TensorElement` in UFL are `MixedElement`, because FFC implemented them such.

Change carried out in 0e1f7ff74c27222f2297d50a25e314a2fdf1a899 for FIAT files, test files still use the old format.
