Oddly, Avalonedit does not suprt overtype mode. I'll leave this issue open and keep on eye on the Avalonedit repo for this.

Apologies. First time I've encountered a text edit control that doesn't support overtype. There's a discussion in the forum on it, but the developers feel that overtype is not needed...

They do have it! It's called overstrike mode, not overtype. Geez, I think I tried every other variation but that. Coming soon, to a Markdown editor near you!

v1.21 is ready.

Pandoc does differ from GitHub in several ways. Sure would be nice if they published C# bindings for their fork. I'll add it to the to-do list.
