Accelerometer Calibration

Hi Michael, I'm using ST LSM6DS33 MEMS IMU, and tried to calibrate my IMU using the code and video you posted. I recorded 20 accelerometer measurements in different orientations, and used the Magneto software.

However, when testing the bias and scale matrix received from Magneto, it seems that the results became worst. (I tested the results over 3 recordings where the device is orthogonal to 2 axis, so the ground truth is [1,0,0], [0,1,0], [0,0,1] in g).

  1. Do you think the problem is small amount of recordings? (you mentioned in your video that you used 178 recordings).
  2. How do you suggest to test the accuracy of this method? From the video, it seems that you examined only the accelerometer magnitude in compare to the desire 1g.
