I'm not quite clear on the difference between these three methods. Would it be possible to add some more information regarding them?

MasterDetailPages not working

Designer does not display the visual hierarchy for MasterDetailPages. Additionally a “page selector” should be implemented to allow the user to switch between inspecting the MasterDetailPage.Master or MasterDetailPage.Detail properties.
