Right, search parameters are not supported for most binary indexes. Enabling support is relatively simple, feel free to submit a PR.

You are correct that the query vector is also compared based on the residual vectors. What makes you think this is not the case?
Unfortunately IndexIDMap does not support data residing on GPU. Only GPU indexes do.
