Related to #1872 An update would be appreciated. This feature has been requested many times for at least a year.
I wouldn't hold my breath on updates from Streamlit. They haven't even been able to get their flagship Teams product out the door after multiple years of closed beta.
The issue leading to test failure has nothing to do with this PR. Sphinx changed behavior under the hood. You need to pin that dependency for your CI/CD: https://github.com/sphinx-doc/sphinx/issues/7420
