Those are all old firmware - log again with new snapshot on the genesis and see if behavior changed. 964 shows the crank losing sync 985 shows good vvt position,...

OK, I now understand what's going on with exhaust vvt. Will create a new issue. #4546

@ElDominio do a bunch of cranks back to back again on genesis, see how it looks now

Looks like events scheduled on even number teeth are wrong by 30 degrees (one tooth!) ![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/568254/191861201-c0d489ac-ce54-4fc3-8253-198f0d159190.png)

~~Ah hah! This will be fixed by #4513.~~ Nope, doesn't fix it.

breakpoint set at tooth #20, where we expect cylinder 2's dwell to be scheduled why is the next tooth in the wrong spot? ![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/568254/191864476-7505c73c-83c0-4280-b033-ee509de5d539.png)

simplest repro so far: single cylinder, two stroke, 10 degrees timing, 12-1 trigger, 1200 rpm dwellStartAngle = 321.2 deg sparkAngle = 350 deg sniffer shows ![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/568254/191868662-930fbe49-3772-43df-b61e-fa8266ab6ca1.png)

It seems like in "use only rise = false" mode, we're off by 1/2 tooth (one edge)

now I've tried to reproduce it on another pc..... and it looks different (and correct!?)! ![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/568254/192075019-1d16d157-0bb2-40ec-9ce5-d7eb804746ac.png)
