I haven't seen these tests failing in the last months, closing, happy to reopen if they fail again.
@pgierz is the code you shared exactly what you were executing? Was it in a notebook?

Yes that's the plan, once it's documented and released in Holoviews, and then implemented and documented in hvPlot.
I think that I'd prefer actually documenting these sorts of use case better. Moving towards Diataxis would help with that, we could populate the How-to section with such examples.
