I did not manage to get checkpointing running. Neither with "native" DMTCP nor with Python.

Using an arbitrary URL would in general be nice... I would have to find a server that is not behind a firewall... I don't know if this would really help...
I mean, in principle, it is possible to create the page (either online or locally) and then save it as complete website. \ will save it together with all images...
Anything new on this issue? The work around by @m-r-r works nicely, but this can't be a viable long-term solution.
